Validated COMPRION RSP Test Benches Support GSMA SGP.24 RSP Compliance Process

Mitteilung:

The newly published GSMA SGP.24 RSP Compliance Process V2.0 now requires functional testing by industry certification schemes GCF, PTCRB, and GlobalPlatform. These certifications schemes are referencing validated COMPRION RSP test benches for conformance testing. COMPRION were the first to offer validated tests for the industry.

The GSMA SGP.24 RSP Compliance Process is the framework for proving functional compliance of an RSP consumer product. Conformance testing of the RSP functionality of an eUICC (also called eSIM) is now part of the GlobalPlatform certification program whereas eSIM devices such as smartphones, tablets, and wearables require GCF or PTCRB certification in order to be declared compliant to the GSMA Compliance Process.

Claus André Madsen, COMPRION Business Development Manager and chair of the RSP Certification Group within the GSMA, emphasizes the importance of the SGP.24 Compliance Process: “Product compliance is essential for ensuring interoperability within the GSMA RSP ecosystem, and the functional testing is key to demonstrate compliance of both: an eSIM and a device containing the eSIM.” Until now, functional compliance was demonstrated by the vendor’s own testing which is often a burden for the vendor. With the updated GSMA RSP Compliance Process, vendors can rely on COMPRION test benches. At the same time, mobile operators can rely on a consistent testing scope ensuring global interoperability.

NFC Product Development: Early Troubleshooting Saves Time and Money

COMPRION introduces their new product line for NFC development testing that helps identifying and resolving error causes in NFC communication at an early stage.

On the Embedded World, February 27 – March 1, in Nuremberg, COMPRION – a provider of test solutions – is going to launch their latest product line for NFC testing, the CL Development Line. It can be used for validating the interface design, for preparing the certification, for functional testing, and for verifying interoperability.

COMPRION Launches New Platform for Advanced Testing of M2M Remote SIM Provisioning Scenarios

Kategorie der Pressemeldung:
Mitteilung:

RSP M2M Test Platform is the name of the new COMPRION test solution enabling remote SIM provisioning (RSP) tests in a lab environment. Jens Christoph, in charge of eUICC M2M test solutions at COMPRION, explains, “The solution consists of a modular set of server simulations providing SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol) interfaces. Thanks to its modularity, RSP M2M Test Platform can be used to test each entity of the RSP architecture: eUICCs, MNO, SM-DP and SM-SR servers, and also the devices carrying the eUICC”.
Embedded UICCs (eUICCs or eSIMs) can be tested when they are accessible, and even when they are soldered into a device. Thus, the solution can be used for a variety of RSP scenarios and entities, such as downloading, installing, enabling, disabling, or deleting profiles, changing the SM-SR server, or updating policy rules or connectivity parameters of a profile. “That way, the tester can ensure various aspects of RSP according to the GSMA requirements, and also perform functional and performance testing tasks”, says Christoph.
The flexibility of the setup allows users to take control of the server behavior as well as the details of the RSP procedures.

Anritsu and COMPRION release solution for 100% automation of Protocol Conformance Tests (PCT)

Mitteilung:

Anritsu and COMPRION announced today that they have developed a solution to fully automate the execution of all 3GPP TS 36.523 LTE Conformance tests required for certification and pre-certification of mobile devices.
Until now, achieving complete automation of GCF and PTCRB conformance tests was not possible as a number of tests required specific USIM profiles. This meant that test engineers had to manually change USIMs several times in order to run a campaign of conformance tests. The solution formed by integration of COMPRION Test SIM Simulator with Anritsu ME7834 Protocol Conformance Test System enables the USIM to be automatically reconfigured in real time during the execution of a test campaign. The result is that no manual intervention is required, improving overall testing efficiency, enabling complete campaigns to be run overnight or over a weekend and freeing up valuable test engineering time.
This latest enhancement to Anritsu’s ME7834L system strengthens Anritsu’s position as the market leading supplier of protocol conformance test systems for LTE and LTE-Advanced mobile devices, delivering the latest technology and the highest number of test cases to chipset developers, terminal vendors and test houses worldwide.
