Düsseldorf, 17. März 2020 - Die japanische Asahi Kasei Corporation hat am 3. März 2020 die Übernahme des US-Pharmaunternehmens Veloxis Pharmaceuticals Inc. abgeschlossen.

Veloxis Pharmaceuticals A/S mit Hauptsitz in Dänemark ist ein im Juni 2002 gegründetes Specialty-Pharmaunternehmen, das sich auf die Entwicklung, Herstellung und den Verkauf von immunsuppressiven Medikamenten konzentriert, die während und nach der Transplantation von Organen eingesetzt werden. Dazu gehört ENVARSUS XR - ein Immunsuppressivum, das entwickelt wurde, um die Organabstoßung bei Menschen, die eine Nierentransplantation hatten, zu verhindern. Die Verwendung einer proprietären Verabreichungstechnologie zeichnet dieses Medikament besonders aus. Sie dient zur Verbesserung der oralen Bioverfügbarkeit und zur kontrollierten Freisetzung des Medikaments für eine verbesserte Wirksamkeit und reduzierte Nebenwirkungen.
