Forscher unter Leitung eines Teams der Universität Cambridge haben Daten der sogenannten EPIC-Studie (European Prospective Investigation into Cancer and Nutrition) analysiert, die insgesamt mehr als 340.000 Erwachsene aus acht Ländern einschloss. Ernährung und Blutproben von 9.754 Teilnehmern mit einem Typ-2-Diabetes wurden mit denen von 13.662 gesunden Individuen verglichen. Dabei wurden der Vitamin-C- sowie die Carotinoid-Spiegel (bioaktive Verbindungen in orangen/gelben/roten Früchten und Gemüsearten) im Blut ermittelt und ergänzend auf diesen Werten basierend eine Art Biomarker-Wert (composite biomarker score) errechnet.

Kyocera arbeitet bereits seit April 2020 mit den Organisationen "Aufwind Mannheim" sowie den "GlücksPaten" zusammen, an die das Unternehmen monatlich 500,00 Euro spendet. Beide Hilfsprojekte kämpfen gegen Kinderarmut an und bieten Jugendlichen dank vielfältiger Aktionen eine neue Perspektive.
