Brennholz: Wichtiger Energieträger für klimaneutrales Heizen

Die Anzahl der verkauften Feuerstätten in Deutschland ist im Jahr 2018 auf 300.000 Geräte und damit um rund fünf Prozent gegenüber dem Vorjahr gesunken. Insbesondere der Absatz von Kamin- und Dauerbrandöfen ging um etwa 12.000 Stück zurück. Positiv hat sich hingegen der Absatz von mit Holzpellets betriebenen Feuerstätten sowie von Einbaugeräten, sogenannten Heiz- und Kamineinsätzen, entwickelt. Diese Absatzzahlen nannte jetzt der HKI Industrieverband Haus-, Heiz- und Küchentechnik e.V., der die Gerätehersteller vertritt. Insgesamt liegt die Anzahl der Feuerstätten, die in deutschen Haushalten für behagliche Wärme sorgen, seit vielen Jahren stabil bei rund 11,5 Millionen. Ein Großteil der verkauften Geräte dient somit der Modernisierung des Anlagenbestandes.

Feinstaub-Emissionen dank moderner Technik deutlich gesunken

"Nach Branchenschätzungen sind mehr als 75 Prozent der verkauften Holzfeuerungen Ersatzgeräte für veraltete Anlagen", so Frank Kienle, Geschäftsführer des HKI. Seit der im Jahr 2010 in Kraft getretenen Novelle der Ersten Bundesimmissionsschutzverordnung (1. BImSchV) wurden bereits rund zwei Millionen technisch veraltete Holzfeuerstätten stillgelegt, nachgerüstet oder gegen moderne Geräte ausgetauscht.
